Tarin and The Chips

Tarin picked up the open bag of chips and ate a few. “These are nice. They aren’t as tough as the ones back home.” “There are healthier snacks in the lounge,” Ilex said. “I guess.” Tarin looked into the bag and frowned. “We can go down for a snack. Shall I take the pad now?…

Tarin picked up the open bag of chips and ate a few.

“These are nice. They aren’t as tough as the ones back home.”

“There are healthier snacks in the lounge,” Ilex said.

“I guess.” Tarin looked into the bag and frowned. “We can go down for a snack. Shall I take the pad now? Or come back for it after we eat? Maybe stay here a little longer.”

“Which one do you want me to answer first?”

The bag stopped rustling. “What do you mean?”

“You’ve given me three possibilities. Can we take them one at a time? Otherwise, it’s yes, no, maybe.”

“One at a time.” Tarin nodded.

“Would you recognize it next time?” Ilex asked.

“I think so.” He was still nodding.

“It’s mostly a signal,” Ilex said. “Correcting you heats up the circuits.”

Tarin took one more chip and folded the top of the bag. He finished chewing.

“If we go downstairs for a snack, what do you want me to take?”

“Take the pad and the camera.”

In the lounge, Tarin set the 360 camera beside his pad. He had a bowl of mixed nuts, a half-eaten banana, and a glass of sparkling water.

He typed:

There are five people in the lounge. A woman reading by the window. The other four look like a family. Mother, father, daughter, and her husband, I’m guessing. Going by their ages and how close they sit.

I like the video we took at the church.

Oh, two more people just came in. Two young women. One has that classic Chanel sort of elegance. The other is dressed in a more urban style. Both outfits look expensive. They don’t compete.
