For three unaccompanied voices. The lead begins in a minor-seventh color. The harmony gradually opens toward major, then rests on a warm major seventh.

The room shifts with my entrance,
and I can feel it too.

My footsteps find their measure.
My shoulders find their place.
I slow enough to meet the room
and let it meet my face.
