Every symptom is a clue

Figuring out histamine intolerance is like being a detective in your own body – every symptom is a clue.

Here’s the quiz. The symptoms start in quite generalized terms and then get more specific. Keep a note of your tally of As, Bs and Cs.

You can take more extensive tests for histamine intolerance, but they vary based on the time of the day, time of the month, what you had for breakfast, whether your body is fighting off an infection, and all sorts of other variables. Always consult your practitioner before starting any new dietary or wellness regime.

Results: 0-4 points: Great news, you have scored low on this histamine intolerance test. But wait, it doesn’t completely rule out the possibility that you might have histamine intolerance. Your symptoms may be milder, or just not covered in my (admittedly unscientific) quiz.

5-9 points: You might have histamine intolerance. Yes I know this isn’t the conclusive diagnosis you were hoping for, but hey, what did you expect from a quiz. The truth is, your symptoms do indicate that you may have histamine intolerance. Follow my program in Part 2: The Road To Recovery and see if your symptoms start to improve.

10 points and above: You have scored highly for histamine intolerance symptoms. Obviously this is not an official diagnosis, but I suggest you follow Part 2: The Road To Recovery and monitor your symptoms to see if they improve.

Now that you’ve taken the test, read on to understand what histamine intolerance is and what it’s doing to your body. (Pg.20)
