Carole King Klein is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and environmental activist. Born in New York City in 1942, she’s known for her contributions to pop music and her multi-million-selling 1971 album Tapestry, which was the best-selling album by a female artist for 25 years. King has sold more than 75 million records worldwide and is considered the 20th century’s most successful female songwriter.
