
Lantana, also known as shrub verbena, is a flowering shrub or groundcover native to tropical regions of the Americas and Africa. It’s known for its heat and humidity tolerance, and its showy flowers that attract pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds. Appearance: Lantana can grow to be 1–6 ft tall and 3–5 ft wide, with some cultivars being more compact.
Two seeds are enough to kill a dog, and the ingestion of any of the plant parts will harm the liver, possibly leading to death. Lantana (Lantana camara) All parts of this invasive shrub are poisonous, especially the leaves and green berries. This plant can be fatal to children, dogs and horses.
